Kota Kinabalu becoming crime red zone noted in China: YB
Wong advocates for constant patrols around the city, urging police to intensify efforts to apprehend suspected illegal immigrants lacking proper documentation.
Kota Kinabalu: Parti Warisan Vice President, Datuk Junz Wong expressed concern about the rise in criminal activities in the State capital.

He said the series of robberies targeting tourists at Gaya Street has gained viral attention on the Chinese social media platform Xiao Hong Shu.

Junz said it significantly tarnished the city’s image as a safe tourist destination.

“The majority of these crimes are allegedly committed by illegal immigrants, highlighting a pressing issue in the heart of the city and raising serious safety concerns among residents and tourists.
