Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Youth Council (MBS) urged the State Government to formulate the Sabah Youth Enactment immediately.
Its President, Abqaree Fawwaz Abekan said this is needed following the lowering of the youth age limit to 30 with effect from Jan 1, 2026, which he deemed as “killing” the youth movement in the State.

“MBS sees that this implementation will hamper the growth of youth organisations in Sabah,” he said at MBS’s annual general meeting here, recently.
“In that regard, I would like to express MBS’stand through the joint agreement of the MBS Supreme Council that lowering the youth age limit to 30 is unsuitable to be implemented in Sabah based on several factors.
