Kopeks drafts long term strategic plan

Kota Kinabalu: Koperasi Pekerja-Pekerja Kerajaan Sabah Berhad (Kopeks) has drafted a strategic roadmap for 2024-2030 to identify potential business opportunities.
Its Chairman, Dr Saat Ag Damit, said that over 30 senior management and key officers, along with the board of directors and cooperative members’ representatives, participated in drafting the plan during a recent workshop at a hotel.

“The workshop aimed to identify long-term strategic business plans and address the issues and business ecosystem of Kopeks.
“The strategic plan formulation incorporated ideas from management, board members, and Kopeks employees,” said Dr Saat.
Kopeks Chief Executive Officer Buvil Angkui and Deputy Rita Yusrina Rantian presented the strategic plan, with Felicia Binson moderating the session.
Former Sabah Director of the Malaysian Cooperative Commission, Datuk Kastian Dula, shared his experience in rehabilitating cooperatives, emphasising compliance with cooperative regulations for good governance.

Kastian’s insights provided practical strategies for addressing issues faced by the cooperative.
The workshop served as a platform for members to exchange views and enhance discussed strategies.

Also present were Kopeks Secretary Nismah Kanak, Treasurer Ag Azmee Ag Kati, and board members Sulaiman Awang, Jaibit Jaudi, and Abdul Ghafor Awang Ya’acob.
