Beluran hit by floods as more victims go home in Johor, Pahang

Kuala Lumpur: Sabah has become the latest state to be affected by floods, with 75 people from 29 families evacuated to three temporary relief centres in Beluran district as of 8pm last night.

However, according to the National Disaster Management Agency, the number of flood victims in Johor and Pahang has dropped from 891 victims this afternoon to 617 people.

Some 458 people in Johor are housed at seven relief centres in Mersing, Kota Tinggi, Segamat, Kluang and Batu Pahat.

In Pahang, 143 people are at two relief centres in Rompin, while 18 people are at a relief centre in Pekan.

Several rivers in Johor, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Kedah, Selangor and Terengganu are at dangerous levels, while 46 roads have been temporarily closed due to floods in Johor, Pahang and Terengganu.
