KENINGAU: Mearpet, a project of third year student majoring in Early Childhood Education at Keningau Vocational College, Siti Nur Hanisah Omar Hashim, has been selected as the 10 best projects in the Youth Sustainable Projects (YSUP) 2023 competition by the European Union Delegation to Asean.
Mearpet has been chosen as one of the 10 best projects that will receive prizes in the form of gadgets, mentoring from experts, certificates and gift vouchers.

“The sustainability project competition is open to youth froms Southeast Asia countries aged 18 to 30 years who have founded or led projects with the theme of the environment, education, health, gender and youth empowerment,” said the college head of research and innovation, Dr Sirhajwan Idek here.
He said a total of 152 entries were received by the organisers and the 10 best projects were selected as winners. The results of the competition were announced via email to the participants on Dec 14.
