Kota Kinabalu: The Local Government and Housing Ministry (KKTP) is currently drafting a framework to coordinate efforts in managing squatters in Sabah, that has been prepared before.
Its Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam said a series of meetings and discussions have been held by the Special Committee and Technical Committee to address the issue.

They expect a clearer management plan by including a “lock figure”, an action plan and a timeline for the squatter management to be finalised and presented to the State Cabinet for approval.
Dr Joachim said this to a Nominated Assemblyman Datuk Dr Aliakbar Gulasan during his winding up speech on his Ministry at the State Legislative Assembly, here, recently.
