Inculcating patriotism among Kuala Penyu folks

KUALA PENYU: With the Kembara Merdeka Keluarga Malaysia (KMKM) 2022 convoy’s arrival in Kuala Penyu on Aug 9, the Information Department is continuing its efforts to revive the sense of independence among the community.Kuala Penyu Assemblyman Datuk Limus Jury welcomed the procession of 50 participants arriving in 30 vehicles from various government agencies at the grounds of the Kuala Penyu District Office.

The programme run by the Sabah Information Department (JaPen Sabah) was described by Limus, who is also the Assistant Minister of Public Works, in his opening remarks as being able to realise the spirit of independence within the community.
“We have a background of various races and religions that need to be defended from evil elements who try to threaten the harmony of our society.
“Through this program, I am confident that this noble effort can strengthen our relationship that has been closely intertwined since the beginning.
“At the same time, we should all fly the Jalur Gemilang at our respective residences or business premises to fuel this spirit,” he said.

At the program which was also attended by Sabah JaPen Director Nadzerah Abdullah, Limus also launched the flag-off of the convoy participants who will proceed to the next destination involving 25 districts throughout Sabah.
