Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Education Department will continue playing its role in emphasising the English language among students – especially at pre-school level – as an initiative to plant the interest at early stage.

Director Tah Nia Jaman said early exposure among the toddlers in kindergarten is a great way of sharpening their understanding of the English language that would help them adapt to its usage.

She said that this is where the teachers at pre-school should play their part and train the children in understanding the usage English and adapting to it to ensure that they (children) to familiarise themselves with the language.
