Tuaran: An 18-year-old Australian girl was injured when she slipped while climbing the Borombon Hill near Kiulu on Saturday.   The head of the Fire & Rescue Department here, Abdul Qawie Abdul Gapar, said the girl hurt her back and had to be carried 400m down. He added that upon receiving a call at 1.12pm, a team with eight personnel together with an EMRS vehicle was rushed to the scene.

“Upon arrival, she was given first-aid treatment before being carried down using a Robinson stretcher. The Aussie was sent to the Tuaran hospital for further treatment.

“The operation ended at 2.45pm,” Qawie concluded.
