Food baskets for Ranau households

RANAU: A total of 345 heads of households (KIR) in nine villages in Kundasang received food basket donations.The villages are Kg Togis, Kg Langsat, Kg Debut, Kg Nalumad, Kg Takutan, Kg Perancangan, Kg Pinawantai, Kg Turuntungon and Kg Monggis.

The food basket assistance was donated by the Sabah Food Aid Organisation.
Also participating in the programme is Shopee and the San Chuan Sabah Malaysia Welfare Association. Deputy Chief Minister cum Kundasang Assemblyman, Datuk Dr Joachim appreciates the contributions.
In the meantime, he thanked all those involved and also his Special Officer, Goon Thien Shang for the initiative of the programme.
Meanwhile, the distribution to the affected villages was led by the Political Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister, Yubidi Gumpoyo and assisted by the Kundasang DUN Community Development Leaders Unit (UPPM). According to Yubidi, vehicles such as lorries and four-wheel drives were used to distribute all the food baskets.

“Later, the Chairman of the Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) will monitor the distribution of these food baskets to KIRs who are listed to receive assistance,” he said.
