Decision must be respected: Hajiji
Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor congratulated Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) for winning the Johor State Election (PRN) Saturday.“The people in Johor have decided and their decision must be respected. We congratulate BN in Johor for winning the Johor PRN,” he said.

On whether there would be any effect on Sabah, Hajiji quipped ‘lain padang, lain belalang’ (different pond, different fish). Hajiji, who is also Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Chairman, said this during a press conference held after he officiated the launch of Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) led by Datuk Peter Anthony, at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).

Anthony, when met later, also concurred with Hajiji that the situation in Sabah is different from Malacca and Johor which are dominated by political parties in Kuala Lumpur. “I believe after what happened in Malacca and then Johor, definitely the winning party will ask for something new to do including the possibility of holding the General Election (PRU) sooner. “But I think at Sabah State-level, we do not have any problem to face PRU,” she said, adding his KDM party may be newly launched but it already has grassroots since long ago, referring to KDM Malaysia which an association he founded and had been active since long ago.
