LABUAN: The first batch of 2,340 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is scheduled to arrive in Labuan today (Friday).

Labuan Acting Police Chief DSP Mohd Ibrahim Mohd Ghani said the vaccine would be transported by road from Kota Kinabalu and ferried to the duty-free island via the Menumbok ferry terminal at 8am.

“We expect the vaccine to arrive at the Labuan Ferry Terminal around 9.30am, and it will be escorted by traffic policemen to the vaccine storage centre at the Membedai Health Clinic,” he said, Thursday.

The Labuan Health Department has established at least three vaccination centres for Labuan's immunisation programme, which is scheduled to kick off tomorrow (Saturday) at 8am.
