Kota Kinabalu: The Royal Malaysian Navy’s (RMN) littoral mission ship KD Keris inspected a suspicious looking fishing boat about 10.6 Nautical Miles West of Mantanani Island on Wednesday.
RMN Eastern Fleet in a statement said KD Keris received information on the presence of the boat during the “Op Benteng Laut Timur” patrol and located it at 11.30am.

“The boat was moving towards nearby land and was directed to stop for inspection. It was found to have a valid fishing licence and registered with a company located in Penampang.
