Former Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Batu Sapi MP and Parti Warisan Sabah permanent chairman Datuk Liew Vui Keong said this to Prof James Chin, Director of the Asia Institute at the University of Tasmania in Hobart, Australia, during a podcast interview.

Liew said that upon coming into office, he prioritised the reinstatement of Sabah and Sarawak as equal partners in the Federation of Malaysia in order that outstanding matters pertaining to state rights and payments due could be ironed out after the constitutional recognition of equal status is achieved.
