Estate owners' association donates equipment to Sandakan hospital
SANDAKAN: The Malaysian Estate Owner Association (MEOA) donated 1,000 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical frontliners of the Duchess of Kent (DOK) Hospital in Sandakan. Each set comprises Surgical Hood, Gown and Shoe Cover.

MEOA is an association, which mainly represents the small and medium companies of the plantation industry in Malaysia. The Association’s goal is to promote, foster and protect the interest of the plantation industry in Malaysia. MEOA has initiated and participated in various activities in an effort to not only give back to the plantation industry but Malaysia as a whole.

Due to the shortage in medical supplies for frontliners and in the battle to contain the Covid-19 pandemic, MEOA is pleased to be associated with NGO, Earth Heir, in cooperation with World Fair Trade Organisation Asia, Social Enterprises, NGOs and individuals in Malaysia which will produce and distribute “Fair Trade Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)”.
