Penampang: Kinsabina Sdn Bhd launched a low-density condominium project known as Riverside Residence at Wisma Kinsabina, here, Sunday. Its Chief Executive Officer Datuk Francis Goh said the project, located at Kg Sodomon, Kepayan, near Cyber City Apartments, involved a total gross development value of RM65 million.

"Construction works on the project on a 2.9-acre plot started two months ago," he said.

He said the project, a joint venture between Kinsabina and 1CKC Development, would see the development of 134 condominium units along Jalan Lintas-Kepayan.

"The 134 units with three bedrooms and two bathrooms each will come in three six, seven and eight-story blocks.

"Each unit has a floor area of between 955 square feet and 1,180 square feet. The area is easily accessible as it is only 10-minute drive away from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport and near to the city centre," said Francis after jointly launching the project with 1CKC Development Chairman Chang Kok Chung, witnessed by Kinsabina's Chief Operating Officer Gerald Goh.

Francis said the overall construction duration will take 36 months from the signing of the Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA).

However, he said he was confident to deliver the project in 24 months due to the work advancement at the site.

According to Francis, 60 per cent of the units have been booked so far and he was optimistic of reaching 70 per cent soon due to the encouraging response from potential buyers.

Meanwhile, Gerald said the project's location is perfect for families because of its close proximity to the airport, city, supermarkets, restaurants and many more.

"Most of the clients who have booked the units are city dwellers where some buy the units for their families while others buy for their children," he said.

On the facilities, Gerald said the development will be equipped with 24-hour security services and closed circuit television (CCTV) surveillance, swimming pool, wading pool, a fitness centre, lifts, shaded car parks and access card system, among others.
