KENINGAU: The problem of water supply in Kampung Bingkor Lama and Kampung Tamoi in Bingkor, which has become a source of woe among residents in both villages, received the attention from the Water department here.
Keningau Water Assistant Engineer, Denis Ugau, who inspected at the condition on Tuesday said the cause was due to low water pressure.

“The water pressure is low and cannot accommodate the needs of consumers especially those living in higher areas,” he said.
Denis said that to overcome the water pressure problem it was necessary to install a new 300mm pipeline from the main pipeline located at the junction of Kampung Binaong and then direct it to the main pipeline to Kampung Bingkor Lama.
Denis’s proposal was duly noted by Bingkor Community Development Leader, Peter Daigo.
“The application will be forwarded to the state government so that the problem can be resolved and the residents living in the upper areas of Kampung Bingkor Lama and Tamoi will no longer have problems with lack of water in the future,” said Peter.
