Sabah Amanah claims  gaining acceptance
Sandakan: Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Sabah branch has so far registered some 3,000 new members in their respective divisional areas here.

Amanah Sabah Liaison Chairman Haris Alimuddin said such positive development for Amanah Sabah shows that the party has been getting support from the people in Sabah and that its agenda and struggle is being accepted by them despite from various backgrounds.

He said this encouraged Amanah as one of the component parties of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and other leaders to work harder and be closer to the grassroots through various community activities and programmes.

Haris said this after visiting the Duchess of Kent Hospital here and presentation of contributions to some 120 patients in conjunction with Christmas celebration on Tuesday.

The programme was organised by Pertubuhan Arif Kinabatangan area, which is a NGO under the supervision of National Amanah.

A total of 25 members comprising Amanah Kinabatangan main committee and from Sandakan, Beluran, Batu Sapi and Libaran under Zone 5 joined in the visit led by Haris.

Also present were National Amanah Youth Chief Omar Tuah and Private Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, Asim Abdullah Ainullotfi.

Haris said Amanah Sabah also planned to organise a Futsal Championship of Amanah Sabah Chairman Trophy with cooperation from Amanah Sabah Youth, NGO Muafakat and National Amanah Youth.

Apart from this, he said seven youth leaders from National Amanah visited for seven days under the "To get to know Sabah's Culture" programme led by its Vice Chief Wan Annuar Wan Ibrahim where gain many valuable cultural knowledge about Sabah.

National Amanah Youth Chief Omar Tuah said he commended the effort and initiative of Amanah visiting the government hospital here as a good approach to get closer to the communities.

On the programme of getting to know Sabah's culture, he said it is a good platform to reach out to young people as well as understanding the State's history. -Mardinah Jikur
