Sook YB and former Keningau Umno deputy chief join Star

Sabah: Sook Assemblyman Datuk Alfred Ellron Angin and former Keningau Umno Deputy Chief Datuk Annuar Datuk Ayub were among some 5,000 people who handed over their forms to join Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) at a ceremony in Kampung Biah, here, on Sunday.Ellron, a former PBRS leader, handed over his membership forms together with 3,855 supporters in Sook, while Annuar handed over his forms with 1,125 supporters from the Liawan constituency to Star President Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.

Jeffrey also received membership forms from former Liawan Parti Warisan Sabah Wirawati Chief, Graline Athil, and several individuals from Bingkor and Pagalungan.Welcoming the new members, Jeffrey said he was happy and described their move to join Star as historical."I believe the new members can strengthen Star's struggle, especially in defending the rights of Sabah and original Sabahans."At the event, Jeffrey also announced the resignation of Edward Linggu and Rubbin Gunibah who make way for Ellron to take over the Deputy President post and Annuar to take over the Treasurer General post, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ellron and Annuar pledged their undivided support for Jeffrey and Star and to fight together for the people and the State's rights especially those under the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
