Glass bridge among new Tenom attractions
Tenom: The opening of several tourism centres by the locals will be a tourist attraction in the interior areas of the State. One of these is a glass bridge at Yong Farmstay at Kg Pulong Tenom and the newly-opened Marais Centre at Kg Marais.

"The tourism centres operated by the local community of the village are interesting as tourism packages are already prepared with several activities lined up including cycling around the village, a walk through a paddy field and rubber estate.

"On the other hand, tourists at the Marais Centre will be able to appreciate Murut culture, especially with the traditional clothing and food," he said during his visit at the two centres, recently.

Jamawi commended the local communities' commitment in transforming their districts into tourist attractions as a source of income, allowing Tenom and Kemabong to gain attention from domestic and foreign tourists.

He hoped the locals will foster a proactive attitude towards development by creating even more products related to their culture to rally in more visitors.
