'Sabah can win big at home'
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Rhinos will seek to shock Perak in the return leg of the Malaysia Cup semi-final tie at the Likas Stadium this Sunday.A defiant Jelius Ating said despite the five-goal deficit from their 5-0 loss in the first leg, the team can still spring a surprise with the home ground advantage.

"Of course it is a hard task to overcome a five-goal deficit but history has proven that Sabah can win big in Likas with the support of the home fans.

"I was in the team that beat Terengganu 8-2 and also the 5-1 win over Selangor in matches played here at the Likas Stadium, so the possibility is there and I hope the players will rise to the occasion to achieve that.

"The team did not play to their best in the first leg. What we are doing now is to prepare the team as best as we can for the match against Perak this Sunday," he said before the team training at Likas Stadium on Thursday.

However, he also disclosed that the team may have to achieve the feat without three of their star players.

"We have some setback with the recent international call-ups. Rawilson Batuil and Azizzan Nordin were both injured and had to withdraw from the national squad while Hector Ramos was injured in Puerto Rico's 1-0 loss to Martinique on October 13.

"Hector only arrived back here on Wednesday and was supposed to see doctor today to see how serious is his injury, but I am confident that at least one of the three will be featured this Sunday," he said.

He called on the fans to come in full force to give their support to the team.

"For this team to reach this far in the competition is an achievement after a long absence and I hope the fans will come in big numbers to give the support that the team really needs for the match this Sunday."

Meanwhile, there was no price hike for the ticket sales and it remains RM20 for Grand stand and RM10 for open stand.

Sabah Football Association's Gate and Ticket Sales Committee Chairman Shamsuddin Mohd Shah said 10,000 tickets will be on sale, Saturday from 9.30am - 5pm, and another 12,000 will be available on match day starting 9.30am. - GL Oh
