Mum slits throats of her four kids

Kota Kinabalu: A woman, believed to be depressed, allegedly sliced the throats of her four children, killing the youngest aged eight months, before trying to slice her throat as well at Pulau Mantanani in Kota Belud, Thursday.The gruesome discovery was made by police who were alerted by the woman's husband as they were patrolling the area at about 1.40pm. Two of the children, below 12, sustained serious injuries and are currently being treated at the Kota Belud Hospital. State Police Commissioner Datuk Omar Mammah, in confirming the incident, said the woman has been detained to facilitate investigations. – SJ
