12 Indonesian fishermen nabbed

Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) stopped two boats and detained 12 Indonesians for violating their fishing licence, Wednesday, near Pantai Shahbandar and Tanjung Lok Pisuk.Sabah and Labuan MMEA Director Datuk Mohd Zubil Mat Som said the two local registered boats were caught carrying out fishing activities within 1.9 nautical miles of the first location and 2.1 nautical miles in the second location.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

"Both boats have violated the licence's terms for carrying out their activities within three nautical miles.ADVERTISEMENT "Both boats along with the crew were brought back to Jeti ZM Kota Kinabalu for further action," Zubil said.
