SK Likas successfully retain title

Kota Kinabalu: SK Likas successfully defended their title in the SK Kota Marudu II Principal Abdul Rahman Hj Odis Cup Football Under-12 tournament held over the weekend.The team brushed aside Malawa 4-1 in the final to take the title for the second time running and also the cash prize of RM1,500, challenge trophy and medals.Malawa received RM1,000, trophy and medals while SK Tempasuk who beat Tabs Safa Bandaraya 2-1 on penalties in the third place play-off took home RM500, trophy and medals.ADVERTISEMENT Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

SK Likas' player Mohd Airil was also awarded the man of the match award in the final. Earlier in the semi-finals, SK Likas defeated SK Tempasuk 2-1 and SK Malawa beat Tabs Safa Bandaraya 3-0.According to organising chairman Selikin Amidsur the event which was initiated last year with the participation of nine teams, had attracted a total of 17 entries this time including teams from Beaufort, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Pitas, Kudat and Ranau. – GL Oh
