All the 48 federal projects to go on

Keningau: All planned federal rural development projects in Sabah will continue, said State Rural Development Minister Ewon Benedick (pic). He said he learnt about this through his second meeting with the federal Minister of Rural Development Minister (KPLB) last week."There are 48 federal projects, including in this district and the interior, which will be continued by the federal Ministry of Rural Development," he told a meeting with heads of state and federal government departments at the District Office, here, Friday.ADVERTISEMENT He said for the first time, after the establishment of the new government at the federal and State level, both ministries, the federal and Sabah KPLB, have agreed to establish a joint committee to co-ordinate the implementation of small and large projects in Sabah financed by federal KPLB.He urged the heads of departments to coordinate and work closely in implementing rural development projects."By creating a union in a working environment where all members are valued and given full space in the communication process, the people's expectations outside the office can be met as much as possible," he said.He said his working visit to the district was to motivate and to welcome heads of departments with inputs that could be brought for discussions at the ministerial level which could benefit the communities and rural areas.ADVERTISEMENT According to Ewon, Assistant Minister of Rural Development and Liawan Assemblyman Rasinin Koutis was mandated by the Chief Minister to coordinate development in Tambunan, Bingkor, Liawan, Sook and Nabawan areas.He urged all heads of departments in the respective areas to be able to provide solid support and cooperation with Rasinin in accelerating the development process in those areas.
