Several Sabah NGOs de-registered
Published on: Saturday, July 21, 2018

Keningau: Sabah Registrar of Societies (ROS) on Saturday confirmed that it has cancelled the registration of several organisations in the state after finding them violating their own constitutions.

Sabah ROS Director Nelbon Tulis Missun, however, said he did not have the actual number of the organisations involved.

The confirmation is given to resolve the confusion arising from previous reports which stated that no organisation in Sabah has had its registration cancelled by the ROS, he told reporters after officiating the closing of a briefing on organisation management, here, Friday.

At present, Nelbon said there were 4,221 active registered organisations in Sabah and Labuan.
