Kota Kinabalu: The state's President squad will go all out for a win against Melaka in their group A match at the Likas Stadium this afternoon at 4.15pm.It is the team's first outing since their last match where they stormed to a comfortable 4-0 victory over ATM at the Stadium Mini Mindef, Kuala Lumpur early May.

Head coach Johnny Dominicus said despite his team have qualified for the knock out stage after collecting 37 points to top the table current standing with four ore matches left to play, he expect his players to give their one-hundred percent on the pitch.

"No doubt we have secured our place in the quarterfinals but this is not the time to relax especially most of the players will also play in the Sukma Games in Perak which is only slightly more than a month to go.

Therefore these remaining matches will give some of them the chance to impress in order to get into the team," he said on Wednesday.

He also added that he will try to field his strongest line-up apart from Hamran Peter who may be unable to recover on time after the match between the senior team and Penang a day earlier which he was expected to start.

First choice defender Evan Wensley Wenceslaus may also miss today's match unless he was to employ the night before.

The team next match is on Monday (July 23) against Selangor here at the Likas Stadium before finishing the group stages with two away matches against Kelantan (July 26) and JDT II (July 30). - GL Oh
