MAHB: Badlisham's contract not renewed

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd's (MAHB) managing director Datuk Mohd Badlisham Ghazali contractual tenure with MAHB will not be renewed.The announcement on Badlisham's replacement will be made after a successor has been identified, said the airport operator in a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday.In the interim, the Chief Financial Officer Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin will serve as acting group chief executive officer of MAHB effective June 23rd, according to NST. ADVERTISEMENT MAHB Chairman Tan Sri Syed Anwar Jamalullail expressed the company's and the board of directors' deepest appreciation to Badlisham for his tireless efforts and dedication in steering MAHB over the last 4 years."Raja Azmi has the full support of the board, having been with MAHB for over two years and having significant experience behind him."MAHB's immediate to long-term strategy involves the designing and implementing of a plan to enhance its Quality of Service (QoS) on an evolving scale that always keeps the company ahead of tomorrow's customer requirements – not just the customer needs of today."MAHB will focus heavily on increasing operational and logistics efficiencies and enhancing human convenience and the company will further equip itself with the funding required to expand facilities in order to effectively manage the increasing volume of traffic, visitors and cargo shipments," he said.ADVERTISEMENT Raja Azmi holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bath, UK.He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Raja Azmi joined MAHB as chief financial officer on February 1, 2016.Prior to this, he had held the positions of group chief financial officer and subsequently, executive director of UDA Holdings Bhd.His previous work experiences included being the managing director and chief executive officer of Zelan Bhd, group finance director of UEM Group Bhd and executive director of Time Engineering Bhd.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
