Head coach hails Rhinos' fighting spirit

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah head coach Jelius Ating has praised his players for showing tremendous fighting spirit in their Premier League win over Misc-Mifa at Likas Stadium on Wednesday.The Rhinos came from two goals down to win the match 3-2 and Jelius was delighted with the swift response from his players after conceding two soft goals."It was a very good result for us and I am especially happy with the fighting spirit shown by the players.

"It wasn't easy to come back from two goals down to win a match and credit must be given to the players for keeping a positive attitude," he said on Thursday.He added that his team deserved to win the match with the chances created especially in the second half."I must say we were the better team on the night. The goals conceded were our own doing. It could have been avoided if the players had been more focused.

"We had a good start and the goals by them were out of the blue but I am glad they managed to rectify their mistakes and made a quick recovery. In fact we could have levelled and even took the lead in the first half if not for some good goalkeeping by their keeper.""The players raised their game further in the second half after I had words with them in the changing room.

Hamran who was given the start ahead of some seniors proved that he is capable to play in the top flight with the equalising goal."I am very pleased with his performance.
