PCS reaffirms support for Warisan govt

Kota Kinabalu: Parti Cinta Sabah Youth Chief Shalmon Sanangan reaffirmed the party's support for the Warisan-led State Government and urged Sabahans to do likewise.He said this is in line with the Malaysian aspiration to have new and better policies as well as the people's desire for change in the country's political leadership which had been dominated by Umno and BN for more than 54 years.He pointed out that PCS welcomes the regime change in both the state and federal levels.

"The time for political campaigning is now over. The people of Sabah should work hand in hand to help the government improve the state's economy and maintain political stability as well as social well-being," he said in a statement.Previously, party president Datuk Seri Wilfred Bumburing had called on its members to support the Warisan-led State Government and the Pakatan Harapan Federal Government.He said PCS had been consistent in its fight for a regime change all throughout the period leading to the 14th general election.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

He also said that the fall of Umno and BN proved that Sabahans and Malaysians in general were capable of bringing down a corrupt government.

In the recent general election, PCS joined force with Parti Anak Negeri (Anak Negeri) as an opposition to the then ruling BN coalition. They failed to win any seats it contested.
