Sandakan: A contractor here was compounded RM25,000 by the Water Department for negligence.Sandakan Water Department Engineer Ishar Hamka Ismail said he received information on the main pipe burst incident at Sandakan-Kinabatangan Road on May 22."During the survey, the Water Department found that the main pipe was broken due to the negligence of workers from the company undertaking the Pan-Borneo road upgrade project for Sandakan and Kinabatangan areas.
