China tourist drowns in Semporna

Semporna: A 29-year-old China tourist drowned while snorkelling with 30 others at Sibuan Island at about 1pm, Monday.District Police Chief Superintendent Peter Umbuas said the victim identified as Li Jing who pronounced dead at the Semporna Hospital at 3.30pm.He said the body was still at the mortuary and post-mortem will be conducted after his family members arrive.ADVERTISEMENT A police report was lodged at 6.32pm claiming that the victim and eight others went to Sibuan in a boat for snorkelling activity and 20 minutes later the complainant who is a tourist guide realised that the victim was missing.He also said that the complainant went to the beach, searched for the victim and later got information that someone had drowned.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
