Sabah duo qualify for World Athletics U20 C'ship

Kota Kinabalu: Sabahan duo Andre Anura and Benedict Ian Gawok have qualified for the IAAF World Athletics Under-20 Championship to be held in Finland in July.They made the cut with their results achieved at the 95th Malaysia Open Track and Field Championships -National Championships at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur held over the weekend where Andre took the gold in the Under-20 triple jump event with a distance of 15.69m while Benedict ran a 14.15s in the 110m hurdles to take the Under-20 title.

However, their trip will also depend on the funds available from MSN according to Sabah Athletics Association Secretary Francis Shim.
