Likas tennis courts to be resurfaced

Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman has granted an allocation to Sabah Tennis Association (STA) for the purpose of resurfacing the Likas tennis courts.According to Sabah Tennis Association President Johnson Koh, the resurfacing works will start as soon as a contractor has been appointed after consultation with Sabah Sports Board Chairman Datuk Louis Rampas and incumbent Luyang Assemblyman Datuk Hiew King Cheu.

An extremely happy Koh thanked Musa for approving STA's request for the funds and also Hiew for going out of his way to help the tennis fraternity.

Koh said Hiew had provided great assistance by accompanying him to meet Musa on three occasions to seek assistance on the matter.

Meanwhile, Koh said STA will continue to request for improvement on the tennis facilities for the good of the tennis fraternity. He said this would ensure a good image of Sabah whenever international tournaments are held in Kota Kinabalu.
