Hearing May 7 for judicial review on Shafie's eligibility

Kota Kinabalu: The High Court will on May 7 hear the leave application for a judicial review filed by the secretary of Umno Zone 6 on the eligibility of Warisan President Datuk Shafie Apdal to stand as a candidate in the coming general election.Judge Azhahari Kamal Ramli fixed the date on Thursday and directed that submissions from all parties be filed by May 4.Datuk Mohd Ainal Abdul Fattah, who is also a committee member of Umno Semporna, named the Election Commission of Malaysia as the first respondent and Shafie as the second respondent.
