Bingkor: K'gau Upko wants status quo

Keningau: Keningau Upko urged the party's central leadership to retain the status quo of the Bingkor state seat as Upko's in the coming 14th General Election (GE14).Keningau Upko Vice-Chief Baidi Ariffin said the division wants the decision of the party's supreme council members to swap the Bingkor seat with PBS' Kadamaian to be revoked."Bingkor has always been allocated to Upko since GE12," he said after the party's divisional meeting at the Keningau Chinese Chamber of Commerce building, here, Friday.ADVERTISEMENT He added that the Barisan Nasional (BN) can obtain a big victory in Keningau and Kota Belud in the GE14 if the swap does not materialise."We are now facing an election and if a swap is really necessary, then why was it not done two years ago?"Keningau Upko has made election preparations since 2015 and all machineries are ready to be mobilised…if Upko contests in Bingkor, I can guarantee that we will win big."Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
