Nur Dhabitah, Kimberly fail in 3m springboard

NATIONAL women's divers Saturday failed miserably in the individual 3m springboard to claim last two places in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.In the final at Optus Aquatic Centre, Nur Dhabitah Sabri completed five jumps to collect 264.90 points to take the 11th position while junior diver Kimberly Bong was placed 10th with 270.10 points.

Canadian Jennifer Abel bagged the gold medal with 366.95 points followed by host divers, Maddison Kenney and Anabelle Smith to clinch the silver and bronze medals with 366.55 and 336.90 points respectively.

The national women's diving squad collected one gold and two bronze medals on the overall, with Cheong Jun Hoon-Pandelela Rinong winning the gold medal in the 10m platform synchronised.

Leong Mun Yee-Nur Dhabitah won two bronze medals in 10m platform synchronised and 3m springboard synchronised. – Bernama
