Activist lodges report over RM10 charges

Kota Kinabalu: A social activist lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) against a Penampang apartment security body that charged RM10 to assist the disabled or senior citizens.Lee Pun Yee said corruption is immoral and should be eradicated, even though it is of a small amount such as RM10. "Every citizen should come forward to report any form of corruption. Some people are still afraid to do so because of safety factors even though our country has an act that protects information providers."Fighting corruption is everyone's obligation. The government's aspiration to achieve zero corruption will not be reached unless everyone work together," he said this in a statement, Thursday.
