Kuala Lumpur: Maxis Bhd has appointed Robert Nason Executive Director and interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective April 1, 2018.In a statement on Friday, Maxis said, Nason was appointed to Maxis board in 2016 as Independent Director."With this appointment, Nason will relinquish his role as Chairman and Audit Committee member and step down as Business and Information Technology Transformation Committee Chairman but will continue as its member," it said.

Nason retired from Telstra Corp in 2015 after five-and-a-half years leading a major transformation of its operations.

"He was the Chairman and Director of Foxtel Pty Ltd from 2012 until Feb 2017 and became a director of various companies/boards in Australia and elsewhere from 2003 to 2010," Maxis said.
