Sign up as voters and exercise right: DAP

Kota Kinabalu: Democratic Action Party (DAP) Luyang Coordinator cum DAPSY National Public Policy Director Phoong Jin Zhe called on the public to exercise their right in the coming 14th General Election.

He said based on the Election Commission record, there are 14.8 million voters in Malaysia but 3.6 million of them, especially the younger generation aged over 21, have yet to register as a voter.

He said the public are still able to register as a voter and be eligible to vote in the coming election as long as the Parliament is not dissolved.

"It is important especially for the younger generation who are eligible to vote to sign up as a voter and exercise their right in the coming election in order to determine the future of our country," he said.
