Man charged with murder of girlfriend's 2-year-old son

KULAI: A 24-year-old jobless man was charged at the Magistrate's Court here on Thursday with murdering his girlfriend's 2-year-old son.The accused, Mosas Saatu, was charged with the murder of Paul Ebinesan Jayan at the toddler's home in Temenggong Flats at Jalan Perak 1, between 5.30pm and 7pm on Jan 3.Mosas arrived at court wearing lock-up attire, but no plea was recorded.

Prosecuting the case was deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Qaiyyum Ramlan.No bail was offered due to the serious nature of the alleged offense.Kulai court assistant registrar Mohammad Salehuddin Abd Sani fixed March 28 for case mention.On Jan 3, the toddler was taken to the Temenggong Hospital suffering from breathing difficulties.
