M-cylist killed in LD mishap

Lahad Datu: A 39-year old motorcyclist was killed when his Yamaha LC was involved in a collision with a Proton Iswara and an Isuzu D-Max at the junction of Taman Warisan, along Jalan Lahad Datu-Tungku, Saturday.Pauly bin Paidi from Rancangan Silabukan sustained head injuries in the 9.20am tragedy.District Police Chief, ACP Hamzah Ahmad said preliminary investigation showed that Pauly bumped into the rear of the Iswara that stopped to enter the Taman Warisan junction and skidded towards the opposite lane before crashing into the Isuzu.

"The motorcyclist died instantly due to the impact of the crash while the two other drivers suffered no injuries," he said.Hamzah said both drivers and motorcyclist were not suspected of drink driving but blood samples were taken for test at the Chemistry Department.The case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Meanwhile, a driver escaped death when his Iswara plunged into a ditch at Jalan Segama, near IOI at 2.20pm.

It was learnt that the driver was heading towards Lahad Datu town when the driver lost control of his vehicle and skidded before landing on its side inside the drain. - Eifa Rizan
