Boy found drowned in K'gau river
Keningau: An eight-year-old boy was found drowned along Sg Ansip, Kg Kuala Puntih, here, Thursday.Fire and Rescue Department Officer Jaree Mohamad said they received a distress call at about 6.50pm from the police station informing about the child having drowned.

Leonardo Talisi, 8, was believed to be bathing at the river with his friends.

"About 10 Fire and Rescue personnel led by an officer rushed to the scene and mounted a search and rescue operation at about 7.30pm.

"The body of the child was found at 8pm and was brought to the hospital," he said. - Eleanor Ruby
