570 parcels of land to be acquired for highway

Kota Kinabalu: 570 parcels of land in Putatan, Penampang and Kota Kinabalu will be acquired to make way for the Pan Borneo Highway project.Project delivery partner, Borneo Highway PDP Sdn Bhd, said in a statement that all the lands are involved in the project's work package 6 to build the Kota Kinabalu Outer Ring Road.The land acquisition process will comply with Section 3 of the Sabah Land Ordinance that allows compulsory acquisition by the Government.

The 19.6km work package starts from Kg Dumpil in Putatan to Pomodoton in Inanam, crossing Kg Ketiau, Gunabalan and Kotiduang in Putatan.In Penampang, it will cross Kg Kurai, Duvanson, Mahandoi, Dambai, Kiranau and Kg Kolopis, whereas in Kota Kinabalu, the areas involved are Kg Kawakaan, Minintod, Bantayan, Tindai, Kitobu and Pomodoton.
