SESB on 24-hr standby in Kota Belud

Kota Belud: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) is monitoring electricity supply in the district following flash floods since Monday.SESB Managing Director Abd Razak Sallim said the SESB technical group was available 24 hours and taking turns to ensure all complaints were dealt with.SESB received numerous complaints involving fallen trees and fallen lines which required immediate action.

However, he said the restoration works are expected to be delayed due to some of the roads affected by floods, and for safety and weather conditions. Consumers are advised to continue to report urgent emergency complaints such as broken wires, fallen electricity poles and fallen trees at the SESB Care Line 15454 or 088-515000.Abd Razak also reminded the public not to move wires or cables that have fallen as some may still have current and cause shock when touched.
