RHB Bank unit issues RM200m subordinated notes

Kuala Lumpur: RHB Bank Bhd's wholly-owned unit, RHB Investment Bank Bhd, has issued Subordinated Notes of RM200 million in nominal value under its multi-currency medium-term note programme.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, RHB Bank said, the notes, rated 'AA3' by RAM Rating Services Bhd, were issued for a tenure of 10 non-callable five years, with a fixed coupon rate of 4.90 per cent per annum, payable semi-annually in arrears throughout the entire tenure.

"It will qualify as Tier 2 capital of RHB Investment, pursuant to the requirements specified in the Capital Adequacy Framework (Capital Components) issued by Bank Negara Malaysia on Aug 4, 2017," it said. – Bernama
