Penampang: Former Tuaran Member of Parliament Yunof Edward Maringking passed away after a short battle with colon cancer. He was 69.He breathed his last at 7.10am Saturday at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He left behind his wife, three children and five grandchildren.

The late Yunof was vice president of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and won the Tuaran parliamentary seat on the party ticket in 1995.A lawyer, he also contested as an independent in Kepayan in the 12th general election.
His remains were brought to his residence at Kg Kohizan, Penampang.A requiem mass will be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral on July 24 at 10am followed by funeral at Lapasan Burial Ground in Telipok. - Leonard Alaza
