Man found dead at Sepanggar roadside

Kota Kinabalu: A 50-year-old man was found dead at the roadside of Taman Sepanggar along Jalan Sepanggar, near IKM, here, on Friday.

Robert Liew Tak Nam of Manggatal was pronounced dead by hospital paramedics who were summoned to the area following a 7.37pm distress call.

City Police Chief ACP M. Chandra said a civilian alerted the authorities after seeing a man, believed to have fainted, lying on the roadside. Early information gathered from the deceased's family found that the man had been diagnosed with thyroid and heart complications.

The man was said to have gone to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 every month to collect medicine for his ailments.

The body has been sent for post mortem and the case classified as sudden death. - Sherell Ann Jeffrey
