Roeshan wins Montfort charity Golf

Kota Kinabalu: Roeshan Krishnamorthi was the clear winner in the 11th Montfort Charity Golf Tournament held at the Sabah Golf and Country Club, Saturday.

The 20-handicapper who received his prizes from Chairman of Montfort Youth Training Centre in Sabah, Tan Sri Bernard Dompok, won the title with his score of 40, beating second place Yong Teck Chong (38) by two shots with Ben Faruru Lee (37) in third.

The ladies title went to Senaida Chen with 30 points while in the A Medal category, Idris Mohamd (36) won on count back over Puney Kiob (36) with Kermes Amir (34) in third.

Lee Swi Heng was the winner in B Medal with his return of 37 followed by Robert Ong (36 ocb) and Francis Jepiuh (36).

C Medal winner was Victor Koh with 36 points, one ahead of Stephen Binsos (35) who took the second spot on count back over Edward Chia and Joshua Ku.

Top three winners in the senior category went to Soon Thau Fong (36), Ng Loong Fah (35 ocb) and Steven Chin (35).

A total of 134 players took part in the charity event. - GL Oh
