Kuala Lumpur: Nam Heong Kopitiam Sdn Bhd plans to expand its footprint to throughout Peninsular Malaysia in opening 25 branches by 2020, up from the current five.Chief Executive Officer Andy Goh said the branches, a mix of the Nam Heong Ipoh and Nam Heong Vintage brands, would be scattered around the Peninsular, with the Klang Valley being prioritised, followed by Penang and Johor Bahru.

"Usually, people will have to drive around to various places in Ipoh town to hunt for the local dishes.

"With the expansion of our outlets, consumers can enjoy authentic Ipoh delicacies everywhere," he told Bernama on the sidelines of the opening of a fifth outlet at the Pavilion here today.

However, Goh pointed out that getting the right locations and business partners remained a major concern.

"If we manage to secure spaces in crowded and populous areas, particularly shopping malls, we will definitely go for it.

"Of course, getting the right business partner is also important to ensure business sustainability," he said. – Bernama
